Swedenborg Institute
Strange goings on in Bloomsbury. The wonderful Iain Sinclair spoke at
the Swedenborg building last night. He performed with Brian Catling in
a psychogeographical introspection around the major themes of the
exhibition and the enclosing building that involved channelling the
ghosts of time past and the "membrane of history" through the medium
of spoken word, performance art and the ingestion of a roll of camera
film. Surprising, illuminating and slightly batty in equal measure.
Afterwards there were sausage rolls and glasses of wine served in the
basement.
